Fronted by two Swedish cousins, HEKLA is a quartet stemming from Berlin’s musical melting pot. Inspired by everything from Scandinavian folk music to 80s synth wave adventures, they bring you along for a ride into the abandoned beach towns and forgotten volcanoes of their minds. In both music and lyrics, grandiose dreams face their constant companion, destruction. Never shying away from the drama, HEKLA sing about the obsession and madness in us all.

The band, consisting of Teresia Alfredsson, Elsa Edlund, Tom Chester and Tillmann Richter, released its self titled debut album in 2017. Their new EP „Boulevards“ that came out in June 2018 is inspired by film noir’s betrayal and love. When the blinds stay low, and the outside world is shut out. Riding cars at night and asking: „You wouldn’t let me go, would you?“
